Update

I know we havent posted in awhile so we have a lot of updates. Colton went to his 2 month appointment about 2-3 weeks ago. He did very well with his shots. The doctor said he still had a small heart mummer and that he had only gained about 1 pound and 8 oz. I did not feel comfortable with that doctor because he was really short with me and really rude so we went to another doctor 3 days later. That doctor said he looks like a very healthy baby!! He said that he did not hear a heart mummer, which is wonderful news!! At that appointment he he was only up 1 pound 5 oz from birth weight (at 9 pounds 8 oz). He was in the 20th percentile for his weight and 25th percentile for his height. and 50% percentile for his head. That doctor recommended supplimenting some formula cause maybe i am not producing enough milk....well i guess he was right. On thursday (9/18/08) he weighed 10 1/2 pounds!!! He is getting to be such a chubby baby! he is also starting to smile a whole bunch! He loves it when you sing to him, make funny noises, and make funny faces.

Bath Time

Here are some picturs from bath time. Every other night he gets a bath before bed. We use the johnson and johnsons bed time bath wash and it does seem to make him sleep a lot better those nights. I put him in there and we just hang out for about 15 minutes then he gets all washed up then we hang out some more. He is actually starting to really enjoy his bath time!!

What A Big Boy

Colton Blain slept in his own crib today!!! It took almost 45 minutes to get him down...and it was in his boppy but then he napped for 2 hours! I am so proud of him. It only took 5 weeks to figure out! Normally when I put him down he wakes up within 5 minutes so this was a big step for us. So hopefully the next step will be getting him to sleep in his crib without the boppy.

Soo Big

Our little man is getting so big and strong. Today when I was burping him he was holding up his head and moving it everywhere. Also when you put him on his tummy he will hold up his head and look around. While he cant do it for very long; he is getting stronger and stronger every day. He is also starting to be awake alot more during the day. And while he was awake he would just be looking around at everything.

Little Mister Piggy

We went to the doctor yesterday (08/08/08) for a cold Colton has had and we found out that he weighs 9 pounds and 10 ounces! Since he was two weeks old he is gaining over an ounce a day (before two weeks he was having a problem gaining weight)!! I cant believe how big he is now. Me and Jake measured him and he is 22 inches long (best we could do anyways). So now he has grown 1/2 inch in two weeks and a whole inch in a month! He is such a big boy. The doctor also said that he is a very handsome boy...which we all knew ;) and that he is a very healthy boy. so thats good! well thats the update for now!

One Month Old

Today our little man is one month old!! i cant believe how fast he is growing up! He is getting so big. No new news as of right now. He still isnt really sleeping unless your holding him, but he is getting better...slowly, but thats better than nothing! :) well i am sure that most people just want to see some updated pictures of him so here are a few:
